Description:
Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) is a computerized test of the hearing nerve as it goes through the brainstem. Small electrodes are taped near the ears and a sequence of sounds are heard by the patient. This test can be used to estimate hearing levels in difficult to test individuals (such as very young children) or to screen for tumors that may involve the hearing system.
